rabbits, rabbits everywhere and 2 are cut up.
well recently i sold my black 84 GTI, my 79 rabbit c, and my beautiful tabasco red 80 rabbit. so i am starting to clean up the area. i have also cut up my totaled 89 cabriolet parts car, and my green, titleless, caved in roof and 1\4 panel 84 GTI. i took all the good parts off first of course so now i have 4 1\2 rabbits :D the ass of the cabby though is going to be a car-b-que eventually and the front of it and the GTI are getting hauled to the scrapper. but now for the good stuff....
over the last 2 weeks i have been working on my most recent rabbit acquisition. its a 79 Whisper Blue Rabbit C 2dr. it is running an EH 1.5l with an FF 5spd manual. an odd transmission for an early rabbit. most of the ones i have seen either have the 4spd or the automatic. i am currently rewiring it with an 80 wiring harness and fusebox due to a MAJOR electrical issue, no juice ANYWHERE!!! so i figure the car i took the harness out of ran when it was gutted so i should be able to use the harness out of ti with no issues. i am also converting it to electronic ignition for ease of maintainance. it has BMW E30 basket weave 14" rims, euro bumpers, complete matched lockset from the 80, Scirocco steering wheel ( stolen from my GLI), chrome Audi door handles. Scirocco hight adjustable buckets with a custom covered leather cloth rear seat. it also will ahve a lay flat wiper running an 86 MK2 golf rear wiper arm. this will be a nice little ride when i get it done.

- i ahve been working on this for a while now and its almost to the point i can try to fire it. dash harness is almost in, engine is wired ready to go as is the front adn rear lighting. charging system is ready as well as the electronic ignition. wheels are on as are teh bumpers. interior is still out pending a shop vac and heaterbox R&R. once those are done, carpet is reinstalled and the dash is reinstalled i can put in my seats, 1\4 extensions and hatch cover. before everything goes in though i am GOING to test EVERYTHING to make sure it works. and hopefully it does.
