- I'm 51yrs old. Retired Military, but have been working for the state of Virginia as a state employee for 8 yrs, since I left the US Army. Still very active in every way. I was born Puerto Rico, but have spent most of my life in the US and abroad. I speak English & Spanish fluently. I'm a Beetle junkie and I mean the VW kind, but I do listen to the music also. Really, I'm just a big kid at heart, and when I'm in my Bug, I tend to go back to my younger days. Would like to meet new friends, maybe join a club. Volky's Rule.

So called from the chaff cutter noise that the early (40's-50's) models made. Until then Australia had never seen let alone heard a horizontaly opposed engine. Perhaps the term dak-dak is used elsewhere I am not sure.
